Will powerpoint 2007 design templates open in previous versions of powerpoint?

Created a powerpoint in the 2007 version with its new design templates, and saved as a 2000-2003 ppt file. Will the design template be missing when I open it in a 2000-2003 version of powerpoint?|||Maybe, previous version of PowerPoint cannot recognize the new design templates(format, smart art.etc) of 2007 PowerPoint.

To show the whole content of your presentaion in every computer, the best way is to change the files' format into Flash(.swf), then you can play it with broswer without any limit.

Here is the tutorial:

|||Because you saved it in a 2000-2003 format, it will open in the earlier version without any trouble. By saving it in that format, you told the program to convert the 2007 template into a version of it that 2000-2003 can read.|||I can't quite understand what you mean by saying "design template". ActuallyPPT97-2003 does not recognize the new Smart Art graphics and visual objects that are available in PPT2007 and will convert them to bitmaps to maintain their appearance. Certain aspects of bitmaps can鈥檛 be changed such as line width, fill color and other PPT2007 specific properties.

If You wnat to retain all the animation effects, you could convert your PowerPoint to flash using this PPT2Flash software

It works perfectly with PowerPoint 2007 and could recognize all the smartart elements. More than 99% computers have the Flash player installed, so you don't need to worry about the compatibility problem.|||All the new features in 2007 PowerPoint will of course get lost in earlier versions like 2000-2003.

If you don't want such loss of effects, you can save your 2007 presentation onto a DVD or video, coz the latter won't bother you to such a version trouble. You can try a conversion software like Moyea PPT to DVD Burner (or Moyea PPT to Video Converter if to convert to video for Web), free trial at http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com/

Hope it can help you out!
